October is here and I’m happy to say that I absolutely love this time of year! There’s so much to be excited about! The weather starts cooling off. The holidays are right around the corner.  Persimmons (my favorite fruit) are coming into season.  And, of course, it’s Halloween time!

What’s more fun than dressing up, spooking the trick-or-treaters who knock on your door, and enjoying all of the merriment that goes along with this awesome holiday?  It’s our chance to tap into the joys of “make believe” that we all knew as children. Interestingly,  according to USA Today, adults generally spend more money on themselves for Halloween than they do on any other day during the year. Based on some of the elaborate costumes I’ve seen in the past, I definitely believe it!
